Seroja and 1887 by André led the night’s climb to two stars, while six restaurants earned their first star at Michelin Guide Singapore’s milestone 10th anniversary awards ceremony at Raffles Sentosa
One of the biggest nights on the culinary calendar took place at Raffles Sentosa last night, as Michelin Guide Singapore marked its 10th anniversary with an awards ceremony that kept chefs, industry insiders and guests on the edge of their seats. Unlike last year’s comparatively modest results—which saw just one new entrant to the one-star ranking and a single restaurant promoted to two stars—this year’s ceremony crowned a total of 45 restaurants.
As expected, Les Amis, Zén and Odette retained their three stars. Seroja was promoted to two stars after entering the guide with one star in 2023, while 1887 by André debuted with an impressive two stars and took home the newly introduced Opening of the Year accolade.

Visibly moved after accepting the award onstage, chef de cuisine Ben Wang said the results were beyond the team’s expectations. “When we were preparing the restaurant, we didn’t expect so much. We just wanted to set up and execute every dish well right from the start. I am very grateful to the team for believing in me and putting in so much time to accomplish this together,” he shared.

On earning two stars, Seroja chef-owner Kevin Wong said he has always believed in the restaurant’s cuisine, which celebrates Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage through local produce, regional spices and time-honoured techniques. “We are constantly evolving by travelling, having meaningful dialogues with farmers and collaborating with chefs,” he noted. Seroja also picked up the evening’s Green Star award, alongside Fiz, helmed by chef-owner Hafizzul Hashim, who pays tribute to Southeast Asia’s bounty through tasting menus he calls "Episodes."
Seroja and 1887 by André joined seven other restaurants that retained their two stars: Cloudstreet, Jaan by Kirk Westaway, Meta, Saint Pierre, Shoukouwa, Sushi Sakuta and Thevar.

Above Loca Niru debuts in the guide with one star. Executive chef Shusuke Kubota also takes home the Young Chef Award
Of the 33 restaurants awarded one star this year, five made their debut and one—Yong Fu—was promoted from last year’s selection. The new entrants were Cherry Garden by Chef Fei, Jin Ting Wan, Loca Niru, Sushi Kimura+ and Tenshima.
Loca Niru executive chef Shusuke Kubota, who also received the Young Chef Award, told Tatler this was a significant achievement for the team, having opened the restaurant less than a year ago. “Loca Niru is a unique concept… it's still Japanese cuisine, but since I work in Singapore, I use Southeast Asian produce and ingredients. This creates a very different kind of restaurant, a new harmony and balance that makes the dishes special,” he said.
Other special awards were also presented last night. Maryjoy Lim, general manager of Restaurant Jag, was recognised with the Service Award, while Jin Ting Wan head sommelier Joe Yang took home the Sommelier Award for curating an impressive wine list of over 130 Chinese wines—the largest in Singapore.
