Experience a unique collaboration next month by Estro and Bar Leone that combines Roman and Neapolitan food and cocktail culture. On April 2, from 6.30 pm, the Italian restaurant and bar unite to present a six-course themed menu at Estro. Led by chef Antimo Maria Merone, the six course menu includes the likes of carciofi alla giudia with artichoke, red prawn and burrata, followed by spaghetti cacio e pepe and bottoni all’amatriciana with tomato and guanciale. This is complemented by a cocktail pairing by Bar Leone’s mixologist Lorenzo Antinori. The menu is available at HK$1,280 per person, or HK$1,680 for the complete experience, including cocktail pairings. Limited to only 28 covers, this event promises an intimate evening celebrating Italia in Hong Kong. The collaboration continues on April 28, with Estro’s Neapolitan snacks pop-up at Bar Leone, offering an opportunity to savour Merone’s cuisine in the cosy ambience of Bar Leone.

Indulge in the intersection of art and gastronomy as Gourmet Dining Group unveils art-inspired menus at Arbor, Épure and Ami which coincides with Hong Kong Art Month this March. At Arbor, delve into a dinner menu in which chef-owner Eric Räty’s innovative Nordic-Japanese cuisine pays homage to the expressive and vibrant colours of French-Chinese artist Xie Jing-Lan, known as Lalan, available at HK$1,688 per person. Épure presents the works of Zao Wou-Ki on the plate for dinner, priced at HK$1,688 per person, whereby chef de cuisine Aven Lau merges Asian and French flavours inspired by the dynamic brushstrokes of the legendary Chinese-French artist. Meanwhile, at Ami, experience an inspired menu curated by chef Nicolas Boutin and Léa Cantalloube which, starting from HK$1,188 per person, draws from the visionary French artist Georges Mathieu’s dynamic paintings.

Embark on a weekend journey to the sun-kissed hills of Tuscany without leaving Hong Kong as Carna by Dario Cecchini unveils its new brunch experience. Inspired by the acclaimed butcher Dario Cecchini’s ethos of nose-to-tail dining and Italian familial hospitality, Carna promises a lavish affair inspired by the spirit of la dolce vita. Diners are greeted with homemade chianti followed by an array of unlimited appetisers including the signature beef tartare and roasted beef tonnato, alongside mixed bruschetta and warm beef salad. The feast continues with a primi piatti pasta course featuring rigatoni with braised beef tripe and pork sausage, leading to a charcoal grill extravaganza with grilled meat platters and signature steak cuts. The brunch starts from HK$728 per person, with options for free-flowing prosecco, sommelier-selected wines, cocktails or Gosset Grande Reserve Brut champagne for additional indulgence. Plus, two lucky diners will get the chance to win a complimentary brunch through a lucky draw.

Roganic, acclaimed for its commitment to sustainable gastronomy by Simon Rogan, is commemorating its fifth anniversary with a series of events including recent partnerships with Quintonil from Mexico and Seroja from Singapore. There is more to come later this year, but the good news keeps coming as the restaurant announces key appointments including Adam Catterall as head chef and Mark Catchpole as senior sous chef, alongside Antonio Mereu as restaurant manager and Priscilla Tam as junior assistant manager.

Refreshed menus curated by Catterall are now available, featuring a three-course set lunch for HK$420 and an 11-course dinner tasting menu for HK$1,180. Highlight dishes include sunrise tomatoes from farmhouse productions with nasturtium and cod roe; Day Boat seabass stuffed with Manila clams; and the 14-day dry-aged duck roasted with local 100-flower honey. Tam’s optional non-alcoholic beverage pairing adds an extra layer of complexity, enhancing the dining experience with refreshing flavour.

Fruit-tea summer

Häagen-Dazs unveils a fresh summer treat with a new strawberry and green tea ice cream bar, and a green tea and lemon stick bar, which blends vibrant fruits with invigorating green tea, ideal for cooling down in the heat. The strawberry and green tea bar has a pink coating made with real strawberries and white chocolate, enveloping swirls of strawberry and green tea ice cream, while the green tea and lemon bar surprises with a playful combination of matcha green tea ice cream and tangy lemon sorbet, all encased in green tea chocolate. These tempting delights are available at 7-Eleven, Circle K, and major supermarkets, with a multipack option at designated supermarkets.

Pair these stick bars with Häagen-Dazs’ new matcha ice cream beverages, Matcha Secrets and Pink Romance, for a multi-textural flavour experience, available at all Häagen-Dazs shops (except the Diamond Hill branch). Additionally, Häagen-Dazs is partnering with beauty brand Laneige in the Cöol reward campaign, offering e-coupons and exclusive gifts with purchases from March 27 to April 11, with giveaways on their official Instagram page.
