Closing the year

Cultivate, opened by chef-owner Leonard Cheung, has announced its imminent closure, with a final service scheduled for New Year’s Eve. This marks the end of a three-year journey, during which Cultivate delighted patrons with its inventive and unconventional cuisine. The closure, as shared in a heartfelt Instagram post, is attributed to the challenging economic conditions of 2023, including reduced local spending, fewer foreign tourists, and diminished demand for luxury dining, factors that have affected many in the industry. In their announcement, Cultivate expressed deep gratitude towards their guests, suppliers, and staff, emphasising how their support made the journey worthwhile. As they prepare to close, Cultivate invites diners for one last memorable experience, with very limited seating available for their final month.
