Refined, seasonal fare with neo-American influence served in an intimate and interactive setting in the heart of Soho

Precision pervades each perfectly plated and carefully considered dish at chef Leonard Cheung’s Cultivate, which is tucked away on Soho’s Elgin Street. Bar counter seating offers guests a look into kitchen proceedings, where the preparation of each course is attentively executed. The nine-course tasting menu is hyper-seasonal, with a definite American influence that can be seen in plates such as Cheung’s take on the In-N-Out burger—a particular highlight. Staff are welcoming and accommodating, with the chef himself on hand to introduce some of his dishes.

Signature Dishes

  • Maitake, five-spice-cured foie gras and mushroom pho dashi
  • In-N-Out burger-inspired beef tartare
  • Banana and caviar

Tatler Tip

Both non-alcoholic and alcoholic pairings are available, the latter drawing on a wine list that takes diners to far-flung places, from Israel and Moldova to Georgia and Syria.
