Bring out the family for a glorious meal at these dining places with special Easter menus

Unlike last year’s more subdued Easter event, this year will be a merrier celebration as we are allowed to dine at restaurants again—albeit, following Covid-19 protocols. Nevertheless, the local chefs are welcoming everyone with lavish spreads spanning their usual signature dishes and Easter-themed creations—and yes, that includes the seasonal hot cross buns and delicious desserts shaped like bunnies. From Italian cuisine to modern Asian fare, here’s what’s in store for you come Easter weekend.

Leave it to the Italians to prepare a lavish brunch spread, just like chef-partner Simone Fraternali’s Il Solo Easter Brunch on April 4. Naturally, it’s a showcase of veritable Italian classics such as seafood salad tossed with balsamic kale and spice toasted almonds, lasagna Bolognese and slow-roasted leg of lamb spruced up with sides of asparagus and artichoke. Cap off the meal with ciambella, Fraternali’s homemade Easter cake topped with dark chocolate and mascarpone cheese. Book here.

7. One-Ninety

A decadent Easter brunch beckons at this botanical-themed restaurant, and like most buffet spreads, it will serve a bounty of ocean-fresh seafood with your usual Maine lobsters, Alaskan king crab and avruga caviar. What sets it apart though is the team also offers Mediterranean mezzes and appetisers, so you can get your fill of salmon tataki, deep-sea crab leg with lime aioli, and poached white asparagus in truffle emulsion, among others.

Take it easy on the starters though, so you’ll have space for the main dishes served at the ‘live’ stations. Choices include the 72-hour slow-roasted milk-fed lamb with saffron rice, dried fruits and nuts; baked salmon coulibiac with white wine sauce and clams; and apple-wood smoked Peking duck.
