It’s Negroni Week

Above Cheers to a good cause at Qura Bar during Negroni Week
Negroni Week, an annual international mixology series held in support of the Slow Food Movement, returns from September 21 to 27. In celebration of this charitable cause, Tatler Best Spotlight honouree Qura Bar is launching The Italian Avant-Garde menu. This trio of cocktails reimagines the Negroni through the regional flavours of Italy and contemporary techniques such as sous-vide infusion, slow maceration and fat-washing.
The Olive Grave is a nod to la scarpetta, an Italian ritual of savouring olive oil and sauce left on a plate with a piece of bread. The drink blends mezcal with vermouth and Campari, before it’s layered with olive and cacao for a crisp, savoury finish. The Orchard is inspired by la scampagnata della domenica, a Sunday tradition of lunching with family in the countryside, which blends tequila, Campari and brandy with toasted almond and peach, topped off with soda water. The Herbalist draws on the black liquorice and anise sweets kept in a grandparent’s home, combining gin with vermouth, Campari and coconut and liquorice liqueur for a herbal finish.
The menu is available at Qura Bar for a limited time during Negroni Week. Cocktails are priced from HK$160 each.
