Hong Kong’s quintessential grill serves up satisfyingly uncomplicated, classic fare made with quality ingredients. Dishes like beef wellington and house-smoked salmon served on a trolley laden with condiments are textbook, but are no longer a rarity in this town. Although loved for its perceived timelessness, Hong Kong’s dining scene has grown up considerably since The Grill’s inception. As many of the dishes rely on table-side plating, service also needs to be sharper and neater in order to justify the hefty bill.
