Johor's beach resort haven welcomes back the Gourmet Series for the first time since 2018

Titled Gourmet Series: A Malaysian Journey, Desaru Coast's flagship dining programme is back for the second time. This year's programme features three award-winning Malaysian chefs: Johnson Wong of Gēn 根, Su Kim Hock of Restaurant au Jardin, and Raymond Tham of Skillet KL and Beta KL. Two of the most luxurious resorts along this coastline, Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas and One&Only Desaru Coast, will play host.

Happening from May 26-28, 2023 is Johnson Wong’s collaboration with Fahdrul Abd Malek, executive chef of Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. The two experienced chefs will work together to present a four-hand dinner on the first two evenings, followed by brunch on May 28, 2023. The dinner menu will feature dishes such as oysters with cucumber broth, whipped tofu with acar, and nasi ulam.

Each visiting chef will also be creating a unique dish, which will be served for a limited time at the respective host restaurant.
