"My favourite croissant spot is Bray Bakery. To me, its sourdough croissants strike the perfect balance between light and fluffy. I'm usually the kind of person who likes food with all the bells and whistles like getting ice cream with all the add-ons, but I have to say my favourite is Bray's plain sourdough croissant.

Bray also has an elderflower custard croissant that's really good. The sandwiches are also the best I've ever had so you could say it's basically my go-to!"

"I go to Croisserie in Bukit Damansara for my croissants. I usually get the croissant au beurre (butter croissant). The balance between the crust on the outside and the chewiness on the inside is just to die for. If I go there for breakfast, I definitely have to get more than one."

"Aison Bakery is my go-to for my croissants. The croissants have a flaky texture and an awesome buttery flavour—you can tell Aison uses premium butter for lamination. The croissants also have a perfect shape and unique sourdough-like flavour. I usually have my croissants plain with a cup of coffee. It doesn't need any butter or jam. It's simply the best croissant for me in terms of flavour and texture in Malaysia."

“Lavie Boulangerie in Damansara Kim is my favourite place to get croissants. Its lemon curd cruffin, which is a hybrid between a croissant and a muffin, has the perfect balance between a buttery fat fragrance and tartness from the citrus, which fulfils my lemon addiction.”

“My favourite spot in Kuala Lumpur to get croissants would be from KLCG Confectionary & Bakery in the heart of town. Its croissants are flaky and super buttery. I also love the way they look. The lamination of the dough is so well done that it makes the croissant puff up beautifully; inside, you get a beautiful honeycomb effect.

The bakery is located within a historical building, which makes it a lovely place to go for breakfast or just a sweet treat. Besides the croissants and pastries, the hot food items are scrumptious as well.”
