As Hong Kong begins to return to normalcy, Art Month is back, taking place in March this year along with a colourful array of events to explore. Profess your love for both contemporary Korean cuisine and art at Hansik Goo which, along with interior details that exhibit traditional Korean craftmanship, showcases a sculpture by Jung Hyunjee, and the monochromatic works of Chung Chang-sup and Lee Bae, whose charcoal pieces Issu du Feu 2 (2000) and Brushstrokes (2020-21) add to the calm elegance of the restaurant’s atmosphere.

The Lounge At The Hari Hong Kong

The art displayed throughout the hotel is selected by A Space For Art, The Hari’s London-based consultant, and runs from the ground-floor lobby to each and every room, suite, restaurant and communal space. The Lounge is an art-filled area for guests to eat, drink and socialise while taking in the visual feasts of South Korean artist Choi Soowhan’s Emptiness—Forsythia (2016) and his compatriot Kim Bumsu’s triptych Beyond Description (2016), among many others.

Hue Dining

Located inside the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hue Dining presents an experience that not only offers modern Australian food and striking harbour views, but also colourful masterpieces at every turn. The restaurant has partnered with Tanya Baxter Contemporary Art to display a collection from modern and postwar contemporary artists; highlight pieces due to be shown this month are by the likes of Damien Hirst, David Hockney and Sean Scully.

White linens and a muted colour palette provide the canvas for the bold and playful art displayed at LPM. The French restaurant’s vibrant, Riviera-inspired cuisine is echoed in the artwork, which includes digital prints by Brazilian artist Romero Britto, vintage posters featuring French fashion illustrator René Gruau and more.

Well-known, and well-loved, for its refined yet relaxing space to enjoy Cantonese cuisine, Duddell's also delivers an art programme that is led by a dedicated art manager with exhibitions and screenings to view as well as lectures and talks to join. The exhibitions are often guest curated or on special loan from the archives of private collectors such as the M K Lau Collection which is one of Asia's finest private collections of modern Chinese brush-and-ink paintings, calligraphy and contemporary Chinese paintings.

As the recipient of Tatler Dining's Best Interior Design award this year, Magistracy Dining Room not only showcases good design but also art that is befitting of its location in Hong Kong's art and culture hub, Tai Kwun. The restaurant is currently showcasing art from Texas-based artist RF Alvarez, UK-based modern impressionist Jerome Hunt and Hong Kong-based abstract artist Wai Sze Clark-Burton who creates art inspired by nature and Western culture from an Eastern perspective.
