Grab a friend and quench your thirst with the latest boozy releases this month

A new month means new releases from spirits producers. Let’s start with gins; fans will be glad to know that there are two new expressions to get your hands on. First is the No.3 London Dry Gin, which is a refreshing expression by British wine and spirit merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd; and the second is the PS.Cafe Verandah Gin, created in collaboration with Tanglin Distillery.
 
Whisky drinkers, you are not forgotten. Imbibe on Auchentoshan’s latest expression finished in a sauvignon wine cask, or the Loch Lomond Whisky’s 46-Year-Old Single Malt release.

1. Auchentoshan Sauvignon Blanc

This single malt whisky distillery has unveiled its latest creation, the Auchentoshan Sauvignon Blanc, which combines the citrusy white wine flavours from the wine cask with the distillery’s signature smooth whisky. This expression goes through a triple distillation and ageing process in sauvignon blanc casks, resulting in an expression that’s fruity, zingy and smooth. Enjoy its aromas of white peaches, green apples and honeysuckle before taking a sip to savour notes of green apple, light acacia, lemon curd and honey. Available at selected retailers.

2. No.3 London Dry Gin

Gin lover can revel in the No.3 Dry Gin, an expression by British wine and spirit merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd. The exceptional bottle offers bright and fresh aromas of juniper and citrus. These flavours unravel on the palate with floral summery notes of cardamom and spicy notes of coriander. It has a dry finish, boosted by earthy angelica undertones. Available at selected retailers.

3. Loch Lomond 46-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky

Those looking for exceptional bottles only need to check out Loch Lomond’s latest addition to its 'The Remarkable Stills' series, the 46-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky. Distilled in 1974, this single malt is matured in American oak casks for 44 years, followed by a year each in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks. It boasts aromas of toffee and rose on the nose which deepens on the palate with characters of juicy ripe pear, cinnamon and raisins. It has a long and warm finish complemented by green fruit and toffee undertones.

4. Amaro Lucano

This Italian herbal liqueur is celebrating its 120th anniversary with a prestigious version of its Amaro Lucano. First created in 1984, this liqueur is made with over 30 herbs and aromatics, including wormwood, bitter orange and sage. Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, the liqueur is strong and herbal on the palate, and interspersed with notes of lavender, pine and citrus. Available at selected retailers.

5. PS.Cafe Verandah Gin

PS.Cafe has teamed up with Tanglin Distillery to launch its own Singapore-style gin. Fresh and fragrant, this expression combines traditional botanicals with coconut, lemongrass, pandan leaves, lemon peel and fragrant spices. Mix it with ice and tonic water for a zesty and refreshing drink that is perfect for sipping under the hot Singapore sun.
