1. The Balvenie Cask Finishes Range

Above The Balvenie Cask Finishes Range
Malt master David C. Stewart MBE pioneered cask finishing (storing the whisky in another cask for a short period for extra flavours) in 1982 when he created The Balvenie Classic. This technique has been widely used in the whisky world until today and is the backbone of The Balvenie’s Cask Finishes Range.
The updated range comprises three new expressions inspired by The Balvenie team’s journeys throughout Europe’s wine-making regions. A holiday on the volcanic island of Madeira inspired Stewart’s The Balvenie Madeira Cask aged 15 years—a bright and summery single malt interwoven with peach, orange and hazelnut notes. Meanwhile, The Balvenie French Oak Cask aged 16 years and finished in French Pineau casks is a complex balance of vanilla spice and warm honey notes. Rounding out the collection is The Balvenie Pedro Ximénez Cask aged 18 years and a fusion of lavender, mandarin and clove.
The Balvenie French Oak Cask aged 16 years is available on iShopChangi and selected 1855 The Bottle Shop outlets. The Balvenie Madeira Cask aged 15 years and The Balvenie Pedro Ximénez Cask aged 18 years are only available at travel retail stores in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
2. Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon
The winery based in Napa Valley, California is known for producing some of the finest cabernet sauvignons in the world. Check out its 2019 vintage made from grapes sourced from its own vineyards in Oakville and Stags Leap and aged for 18 months in French oak. The introduction of Bordeaux varieties to this pour also gives it that desired structure, balance and expressive flavour profile.
The 2018 The Estates Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is another delicious offering, with its bold and intense structure that ends wonderfully with bright and beautiful acidity. Last but not least is the 2018 The Estates Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon; aged in new French oak barrels, the wine boasts a deep and vivacious body enlivened with dark fruits and a trail of herbal notes.
