The world’s largest fine wine auction house is bringing trophy bottles from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, first growth Bordeaux, and prestige champagne to Wakuda on October 25. Here’s what collectors can expect

If you’ve got a penchant for legendary wines, mark your calendars for October 25. Acker Wines, the world’s largest fine wine auction house, is returning to Singapore for its third annual auction, hosted this year at Wakuda. And by all accounts, it’s shaping up to be the most ambitious yet.

For one, the New York-based house has assembled an extraordinary collection, reading like a greatest-hits list of French winemaking. Expect bottles most collectors only dream of: Domaine de la Romanée-Conti spanning decades, first growth Bordeaux from the 1940s, and enough trophy wines to stock a serious cellar.

The Bordeaux lineup alone is staggering. More than 340 original wooden cases feature over 200 bottles of Château d’Yquem (1935–2011), alongside legendary vintages such as Château Lafite Rothschild 1945 and Château Cheval Blanc 1947. Also up for grabs: Château Latour, Haut-Brion, Petrus, and Mouton Rothschild—essentially every blue-chip Bordeaux name in the book.

Burgundy collectors will be equally tempted. The sale includes over 140 bottles from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, with spectacular large formats like a Methuselah of 2006 Romanée-Conti and Jeroboams of La Tâche from 1990 and 1999. Other Burgundy icons—Domaine Leroy, Armand Rousseau, Georges Roumier—add further allure.

Beyond France, expect prestige champagnes from Dom Pérignon, Krug, and Jacques Selosse, along with top Rhône and California cult wines like Harlan Estate.

Acker is turning the weekend into a full-fledged experience. Festivities begin on Friday night (October 24) with a dinner at Cut by Wolfgang Puck, featuring historic vintages including 1949 Château Canon, 1961 Château Margaux, and 1982 Château Latour—bottles that defined their decades.

The main auction begins at 11am on Saturday (October 25), with in-room tickets. Registered bidders can also attend a 10.30am tasting to sample wines from the sale before bidding begins. The event includes a multi-course lunch with wines poured throughout, while remote bidders can join via Acker’s app.

With its mix of ultra-rare bottles, serious collectors, and convivial atmosphere, the Acker Singapore Auction is more than just a sale—it’s a celebration of wine at its highest level.
