For the first time since its inception, the Wine Discovery Weekend will be held at a restaurant venue with the theme ‘Harvest & Heritage’, and will comprise a walkabout tasting and masterclasses featuring wines from storied wine regions
Wine enthusiasts have reason to raise a glass this month as Ewineasia.com celebrates its 10th anniversary with a landmark edition of Wine Discovery Weekend. And, for the first time in its decade-long history, the festival will depart from its traditional format and be held at Canchita, the acclaimed Peruvian dining destination in Dempsey Hill, on October 18.
Themed “Harvest & Heritage”, the 10th edition reflects the festival’s evolution, pairing Latin American culinary traditions with wines from renowned regions across the globe in an intimate and immersive setting. The anchor event remains the walkabout tasting, where guests can look forward to a showcase of around 100 wine labels, including rare bottles from Bordeaux and Burgundy’s most prestigious collections. Several family-owned winemakers will be present too, offering insights into their latest vintages and the heritage behind their winemaking philosophies.

This year’s programme will also explore the future of viticulture, with discussions on how Artificial Intelligence is increasingly being integrated into vineyard management and cellar operations, while still upholding the traditions that define the craft.
Alongside the main walkabout tasting, three exclusive masterclasses will be held, each limited to 30 participants. At midday, A Journey Through France & England’s Finest Whites: Crafted by Climate will feature Champagne Boizel, Champagne Chapuy, Gusbourne from Kent, and Domaine Yves Cuilleron’s Northern Rhône selections. At 2.15 pm, Spain in Three Expressions: Ancestral, Coastal, Noble, Bold will highlight Corpinnat Cellar Kripta, Pazo de Señorans and Bodegas Protos. Closing the day at 4pm, Red Heritage in Three Languages: Rhône, Barolo & Mendoza Reds Unveiled will present wines from Domaine Yves Cuilleron, Casarena of Argentina, and the 19th-generation estate Cordero di Montezemolo from Piemont.
