Universal Studios Hollywood announced on March 10 (aka National Mario Day) that a new Super Nintendo World will debut at the California theme park in 2023. While no exact date has been revealed yet, it’s confirmed that construction of the immersive land is already underway in the lower section of the park, near the Transformers ride. The attraction will be the first Super Nintendo World to open in the United States and the second in the world, after debuting in Japan last year.
The announcement didn’t include many details on what Nintendo fans can expect from the new attraction, but it’s very likely that the Hollywood location will be as thematically appealing as its Japanese predecessor, revolving around the gaming giant’s Super Mario franchise with exciting rides and entertainment facilities on offer.
