Bling Empire Season 3 is out now on Netflix. So we’re taking a trip down memory lane —and to Los Angeles — to revisit some of the iconic filming locations featured in the hit series including the restaurants, rooftop bars and high-end boutiques where all the drama went down

Restaurants & Bars

Ricebox LA

When Kane Lim threw a fancy dinner party to celebrate his new apartment and his collaboration with Korean eyewear brand, Gentle Monster, he looked to contemporary Cantonese eatery Ricebox to curate the menu. The theme? Vegan dim sum and truffles.

The crew loved it so much that they had Ricebox cater the Bling Empire Season 2 premiere party. Husband and wife owners, Leo and Lydia Lee, went all out to create a special menu that featured one "bling" dish for each of the 12 cast members. Think caviar siu mai, gold leaf har gow and A5 wagyu beef yakitori to name a few.

Fun Fact: Ricebox was awarded 'Best Char Siu' in Los Angleles by the LA Times in its Best of LA 2020 roundup.

Bao Dim Sum House

The simmering tension between Christine Chiu and Anna Shay reaches a boiling point when they meet at Bao Dim Sum House, a Hong Kong-style dim sum spot, where they spilled the tea—quite literally.

Over a pot of tea, the series' favourite nemeses threw snarky comments and threats at each other. Not a single dumpling was ordered, which is a shame as judging from the restaurant's Instagram, the food looks pretty good.

N10

Jaime Xie had good intentions when she decided to surprise Dorothy Wang by bringing Kane Lim to their lunch at this modern Italian eatery.

But Jamie's hopes of the pair bonding over pasta and pizza were quickly shut down, as the pair agreed that they just couldn't see themselves being friends any time in the near future... or at all.

Rosalynn Supper Club

It's no secret that Kevin Kreider has had a crush on Kim Lee for time. So when she finally said yes to a date, he pulled out all the stops with a private dinner at Rosalynn Supper Club in LA's Arts District, where chef Jasper Lynn prepared a fabulous sushi menu for the pair.

Sadly, Kim never showed up, and didn't even bother to call or message her heartbroken co-star. Rude.

It's ok, though. They later made up, and Kevin eventually got his date with Kim... this time whisking her away to Solvang for a charming weekend getaway.

Yamashiro

Kevin Kreider, Jaime Xie and Christine Chiu attend fashion photographer Yu Tsai's birthday party at Yamashiro, a sprawling Cal-Asian restaurant that sits 250 feet above Hollywood Boulevard that serves impressive, over-the-top sushi platters and colourful cocktails.

It's here that fellow guest, actor Lewis Tan, hits on an oblivious Jaime. Throughout the show, we learn more and more that the young cast member can be a little clueless in the dating department. Which brings us to our next location...

Salt & Straw

Yes. Let's talk about that date.

Jaime shoots her shot with cute retail worker, Adam, whom she meets while shopping with Dorothy Wang at Terminal 27. The pair go to the Culver City outlet of popular LA ice cream shop, Salt and Straw, for what has to be one of the most awkward dates to ever air on TV.

Don't let that put you off, though. The ice cream at Salt & Straw is excellent.

Nic's on Beverly

One of the show's biggest bombshells was dropped at Nic's on Beverly, a plant-based restaurant in Beverly Grove.

Jamie Xie meets Leah Qin at this upscale brunch spot, where Leah reveals that Jessey Lee was technically married to someone else—albeit going through a divorce—when he first Cherie Chan, and even had a family that none of the other cast members knew about.

Jessey and Cherie have since gotten married. In late 2021, the couple hosted a private ceremony at the Château de Saran castle in Champagne, France, with just eight guests in attendance.

Spartina

One of Kane Lim's most iconic moments is when he showed up to sleek Italian restaurant, Spartina, heavily medicated and with his face bandaged from a getting some threading done by his plastic surgeon.

Not one to let this get in the way of a fun night out, he and Kelly Mi Li, who accompanied him to his appointment, meet with Kevin Kreider for a light-hearted evening of pizza and raunchy conversation.

The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood Rooftop

Kane Lim, Kim Lee and Kelly Mi Li catch up over drinks at the chic I|O Rooftop. The rooftop pool and lounge is perched on the seventh floor of The Godfrey Hotel, and has 360-degree views over Hollywood.

Gossip and cocktails on a rooftop bar in Hollywood. It really doesn't get more LA than that.

Shopping

Rodeo Drive

I mean, of course.

Lest we forget the time Christine Chiu and her husband Gabriel Chiu—a plastic surgeon and descendent of a Song Dynasty emperor—took over Rodeo Drive for one evening in 2019 to throw the most epic Chinese New Year Party of all time.

Dubbed Chinatown 90210, red lanterns were strewn across the iconic upscale shopping district and the chords of a Guqin filled the air. Inside a red tent, the couple hosted an elaborate Chinese banquet to guests. For every attendee, the Chiu family made a donation to support a child in China for one year.

Later in season 2, we saw Jaime Xie and Anna Shay spend a fun afternoon shopping at the Valentino boutique on Rodeo Drive, where they put on matching outfits and pose in the window, much to the amusement of passers by.

Leclaireur

Mimi Morris joins Cherie Chan, Jaime Xie and Anna Shay at the super exclusive Leclaireur, a design gallery-meets-retailer in West Hollywood that features one of kind furniture and art pieces from all over the world. Think artwork by Pierre Bonnefille, homewares by Fornasetti and furniture by Paul Evans.

Here, the ladies are joined by fashion icon Nicola Formichetti, whom Cherie humble brags about meeting  through Lady Gaga.

Kyle Chan

Kane Lim's love for truffles (and drama) returns when he throws a diamond-and-truffle party for his jewellery designer friend Kyle Chan at his jewellery store in Beverly Grove.

However, it's all fun and bling until a furious Kim Lee confronts Kevin Kreider about hooking up with someone else while he was pursuing her—a juicy bit of information told to her by Kane. Feeling betrayed, a heated argument ensues between Kane and Kevin, who proceeds to smash his glass on the sidewalk.

Terminal 27

Jaime Xie and Dorothy Wang pay a visit to Terminal 27, a multi-brand fashion boutique on Beverly Boulevard that stocks labels like Eckhaus Latta, Rick Owens, Ottolinger and Andersson Bell to name a few.

Here, Dorothy urges Jaime to make a move on the cute retail assistant, Adam...blessing (or cursing?) us with their infamous date at the aforementioned Salt & Straw.
