The latest address in Queensbay Mall, in partnership with Watches of Switzerland, is Tudor’s first standalone boutique in Penang
Fresh off Le Tour de Langkawi, Tudor Pro Cycling Team’s Arvid de Kleijn, Maikel Zijlaard, Sebastian Changizi, and Rick Pluimers visited the island of Penang for the Tudor boutique opening in Queensbay Mall. Their presence brought a great deal of excitement to the proceedings as guests were given an opportunity to interact with the riders. Le Tour de Langkawi saw de Kleijn battle the Malaysian heat and humidity to come in second in the overall best sprinters’ classification. The four riders were feeling exuberant after a successful season that saw them competing in a second season as a UCI ProTeam.
Operated by Watches of Switzerland, Tudor’s new address showcases its signature red and black with dedicated displays of its famous ambassadors that include, apart from the Pro Cycling Team, David Beckham and Jay Chou.
After the grand opening, the riders and guests adjourned to Macalister Mansion for the afterparty where the stark white historical building had been transformed into striking Tudor red.

At the luncheon earlier that day, Zijlaard noted that Tudor’s support for the team has been instrumental in its success today. “They make sure we get the proper training and the best equipment to train with—they are a real partner in every sense of the word,” he said.
Each member of the team wore the Pelagos FXD Chrono Cycling Edition, a chronograph in black carbon composite case specifically engineered for professional cycling races, customised with their own initials on the casebacks.
