Swatch and Omega have released a new Mission to the Moon timepiece that incorporates the latter's proprietary gold alloy

If you've been hankering for a new MoonSwatch, you're in luck—but only if you happen to be in London, Milan, Zurich, and Tokyo at the right place at the right time. Meet the new Mission to the Moon, a bioceramic Moonswatch that features a small seconds hand coated in Moonshine Gold.

Like Sedna and Ceragold, Moonshine Gold is a gold alloy exclusive to Omega, and it's an 18k gold that is paler than yellow gold but holds its lustre longer. Released on the first day of the full moon today (March 7), it is only available this time around in London, Milan, Zurich and Tokyo.

Swatch is fanning fan frenzy by being deliberately evasive about future release dates but claims that it's not a limited edition and will consider possibly releasing the Mission to the Moon with this special seconds hand on the next full moon.
