From life-sized golden astronauts to a star-lit Space Room, Omega recreated the sense of awe associated with space travel for an exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first man on the moon. Omega, of course, was famously part of the expedition courtesy of the Speedmaster watches that accompanied astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. The exhibition's Lunar Room traced the evolution of the Speedmaster (also known as “Moonwatch”) with a display of such notable editions as the “Dark Side of the Moon” Apollo 8 and the latest Apollo 11 50th Anniversary embellished with Moonshine gold. Aptly enough, the opening night was a star-studded affair with a guest list that included Siti Saleha, Sharifah Shakinah, Nazim Othman as well as national diver Ooi Tze Liang.
