The panther is Cartier’s most distinctive and beloved emblem—discover more about this iconic feline at the ‘Into the Wild’ immersive experience
Watch and jewellery lovers are in for a treat this October, as Cartier brings its ‘Into the Wild’ experience to Singapore. Most recently presented in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the immersive exhibition is on show from October 16 to 30 at Bayfront Pavilion, Gardens by the Bay.
‘Into the Wild’ invites visitors on a journey to discover the wonders of La Panthère—Cartier’s iconic panther motif. First introduced in 1914 on a ladies’ wristwatch bearing panther patterns, the representations of La Panthère eventually evolved from abstract to figurative three years later when the animal was depicted, flanked by cypress trees, on a case gifted by Louis Cartier to designer Jeanne Toussaint.

Jeanne Touissant later became artistic director of high jewellery at the maison, and her personality and style also earned her the nickname ‘La Panthère’.
Since then, the emblematic animal has continued to inspire designers for over a century and has made its mark on everything from jewellery to watches, leather goods, eyewear, fragrances and precious objects.
