The K-pop singer is the new face of the French luxury jewellery brand’s Panthère de Cartier line
Jisoo will now be juggling her Dior duties with those from another French luxury brand: Cartier.
The Blackpink singer has been appointed as the global ambassador for the jewellery house, joining the brand’s international Panthére community which includes model Mariacarla Boscono, Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis and Taiwanese actor Chang Chen.
“I’m so glad to be part of Cartier’s grand journey,” said the K-pop star in a statement. “It’s truly an honour and pleasure for me to join the Panthère tribe, where everyone proves their strength of character. I can’t wait to share Panthère’s great beauty with everyone.”
Jisoo has previously been linked to Cartier: she starred in the brand’s digital project for its Pasha de Cartier jewellery, alongside fellow K-pop star Sehun from Exo. (Like Jisoo, Sehun is also a Dior ambassador.) She also attended the brand’s Juste un Clou launch in Seoul in 2019.
But she is perhaps a better fit for the powerful Panthère de Cartier line, which comprises bold and elegant jewellery that is inspired by the brand’s feline icon.
“When we wanted to embody the magnetic aura of the panther, our attention was instinctively drawn to Jisoo,” said Cartier senior vice president and chief marketing officer Arnaud Carrez. “With her self-assured style, she is the voice of a new generation of creatives who dare to show their different talents. She is an artist who takes on her role with great creative freedom, never limiting herself.”
