See all the top fashion Instagrams from Asian arbiters of style in Singapore and around the world
Coachella is back, and so is the fun festival fashion that the beloved music event is known for.
Over the weekend, Asian performers like 2NE1 and Jackson Wang conquered the stage with their boldest outfits—and that’s the same energy we saw from our favourite style stars in the crowd.
Mae Tan, Irene Kim and Filpino-American TikTok sensation Bella Poarch hit the California desert in striking ensembles that was heavy on colour, prints and patterns.
In Tan’s case, that included a tropical-inspired swimsuit from Louisa Ballou—the American resortwear label loved by Dua Lipa and both Kendall and Kylie Jenner—to match with her blue knit bucket hat.

Casual in Chanel
Irene Kim’s crop top and boot cut pants created a simpler look by comparison, but it still stood out thanks to its festival-appropriate tie-dye design. Plus, the South Korean model chose an excellent bag to go with her look: an iridescent Chanel Gabrielle backpack.
Another Chanel fan at Coachella? Blackpink’s Jennie, of course, who was spotted watching her YG seniors 2NE1 and hanging out with Instagram influencers Simi and Haze Khadra while clad in a swimsuit from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection. The K-pop star styled the piece with a pair of baggy black pants, creating one of the more understated looks that we saw at the festival.

Summer Styling
Although Kim Lim wasn’t at Coachella herself, the billionaire heiress gave us an idea of what she would have worn to the desert: a green Gucci tracksuit, contrasted with a baby pink Chanel mini bag.
We also had more summer style inspiration courtesy of Tiffany Hsu and Chriselle Lim, who pulled off their bright Jacquemus pieces with expert layering.

Easy Minimalism
Of course, not everyone has welcomed the summer and all the vibrant looks that the balmy season calls for. Like Meghan Markle did over the Easter weekend, fashionistas Vanessa Hong and Yoon Young Bae showed us how to effectively wear neutrals through outfits that are both cosy and chic.
