Tatler Asia’s edit of the best runway moments from Paris Fashion Week SS22
Ah, Paris! We’ve reached the final stop of the fashion month marathon that started in New York, then hopped over to London and Milan. This season saw the triumphant return of physical fashion shows on the runway, and the designers are not content with just any old, regular presentation (quelle horreur!). Paris Fashion Week kicks off with two blockbuster brands: Dior, who turned the Musée Rodin—the house’s traditional show venue—into a larger-than-life game set inspired by artist Anna Paparatti; and Saint Laurent, who literally made it rain on the runway, with the Eiffel Tower twinkling grandly in the background. Other show extravaganzas to keep an eye out for this week include Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Loewe, who are sure to make their first physical appearances back at Paris Fashion Week count. Of course, there’s also the majestic AZ Factory tribute to the late designer Alber Elbaz, which involves a whopping 44 brands—among them Sacai, Ralph Lauren, Alexander McQueen, Guo Pei—who have each created a design to honour Elbaz’s legacy. Talk about a heartfelt show!
Stay tuned as we round up all the best looks from the week and check back here daily for the latest updates.
