Milan Fashion Week is always exciting, but this year is especially so, thanks in part to all the blockbuster brands returning to the physical runway. There’s a sense of freedom and emerging from one’s cocoon in the air, and the designers are revelling in it. As Fendi’s Kim Jones—who staged his first physical runway show—put it, “Our woman has let loose a bit—she’s going out, dressing up. We’ve all been locked away for so long that I think that’s what we all need right now.” Other shows to look out this week: Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’s return to the runway for Prada; Emporio Armani, who’s celebrating its 40th anniversary with a show and exhibition; and Versace, who we can always count on to put on an extravaganza. Rounding out the shows are Max Mara, Missoni, Tod’s, Moncler, Dolce & Gabbana, Marni, Pucci and more. Stay tuned as we round up all the best looks from the week and check back here daily for the latest updates.
