Summer plans in Singapore may effectively be a pipe dream at the moment, but who's to say you still can't have a bit of fun in the sun, Prada-style? The Italian luxury brand has brought a slice of the beach to its Ion Orchard store with the Prada Outdoor (Coast) installation, which, as its name suggests, is a seasonal, beach-themed shop, replete with pastel blue sand, deck chairs and lookout towers—all appropriately Prada-themed, of course. It's a celebration of nature and its many forms, especially prescient as we hunker down over the next few weeks in our tight social circles due to the heightened pandemic alert that Singapore currently finds itself in.
The installation is also where you will find a selection of limited-edition goods too. Taking its cues from the beach, you can expect to find Prada beachwear for both men and women made from Re-Nylon, sunny day essentials like pool floats, plush terry cloth cushions, bucket hats and bath towels, and a variety of sporting equipment (basketball, frescoball, rugby, surfboards), which look just as nice as display pieces if you don't intend to actually use them on the beach.
