Tatler’s group of stylish gentlemen descended to The Onitsuka’s Singapore flagship at ION to marvel at the iconic footwear institution’s latest collaboration with the fashion icon
Giving new life to an otherwise slow hump day, Tatler Singapore rallied and mobilised our troop of sartorially obsessed men on a Wednesday evening to present them with an evening of style and splendour at The Onitsuka’s Singapore flagship at Ion Orchard. Our Tatler friends were treated to a private preview of the The Onitsuka x Nick Wooster capsule collection hosted by our branded content editor Adriel Chiun.
Founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka, we know the Onitsuka Tiger for quality craftsmanship and its signature sneakers that boast interesting materials and distinctive designs that are made in Japan and worshipped all over the world. Over the years, the brand has collaborated with numerous creative individuals, including Nick Wooster.
Wooster is a well-known fashion industry creative director and brand consultant who has made a name for himself as an indelible style icon. The Kansas native is widely recognised for his signature style, which often features clothing with a daring streak of expression and an emphasis on classic menswear. So it comes as no surprise that Wooster would choose to partner with The Onitsuka.

Since working with the brand in 2013, Wooster has designed incredibly well received capsule collections that feature several reimagined variations of the brand's signature trainers—which helped to raise the profile of the Japanese institution in the global fashion industry. Ten years on, his latest capsule collection features a full suite of clothing and footwear options.
A true testament to the power of creativity and collaboration in the fashion industry, Wooster’s latest collection marries military influences with minimal designs. The perfect wardrobe for spring and summer, the versatile pieces that come in shades of blacks, whites and greens also begged to be layered as the temperature drops. Our branded content editor loves the powerful statement of style that an organic cotton tee makes paired with a structured black bomber and a matching kilt-trouser combo.
Solidifying Wooster’s reputation as a creative that elevates cultural references, his take on the Wigurve sneakers and boots, and Brogue Chukka are also timeless wardrobe staples. And when paired with existing pieces of one’s own wardrobe, the style quotient of the wearer immediately increases and becomes the cherry on top of a great ensemble.
The Onitsuka x Nick Wooster capsule collection is available for a limited time only at Southeast Asia's regional flagship located here at #01-14A Ion Orchard.
