Trust Hermès to come up with the bag we’re all lusting over for spring/summer 2022. Plus, see all the lust-worthy accessories from the SS22 collection
Every season, Hermès never fails to amaze and delight with its wonderfully transportive runway show. For spring/summer 2022, Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski decamped to a private airplane hangar at the Le Bourget Terminal in Paris, with a painted backdrop by artist Flora Moscovici, who is best known for her site-specific artworks that deal with colour, light and space. “When we spoke of colour and material, we both understood what feminine outline we were designing: a sun-kissed woman open to the world,” says Vanhée-Cybulski about the artistic collaboration.

What resulted was a breath-taking set painted in optimistic colours—yellow, predominantly, as it represented “the maternal colour, the colour of women”, according to Vanhée-Cybulski. But even more breath-taking than the set? The new bags and accessories that we’re going to get once spring/summer 2022 rolls around. Top of our list is the brand new Maximors bag, which comes in a cylindrical form, with two sculptural metallic links that form the top handle of the bag and fashioned from Swift calfskin. Spotted in black and white, as well as light, natural leather and a darker chestnut, fans of the brand immediately zoomed in on the whimsically shaped bags as they paraded down the runway.
