Individuality, creativity and sartorial daring took centre stage at the launch event of Asia’s Most Stylish 2025
September is always a defining month for fashion as many designers unveil new collections; Tatler Asia joins in with the announcement of its highly anticipated Asia’s Most Stylish list. This annual celebration is more than a roll call of well-dressed individuals as it recognises those who embody bold self-expression, originality and the fearless pursuit of style.
With a cocktail event on September 5, Tatler Philippines celebrated 11 Filipino icons who go beyond boundaries and use fashion as a force for change. “They are the tastemakers who are never afraid to push the envelope and show us what style means,” said Tatler Philippines’ managing director Irene Martel Francisco in her welcoming words.

Tatler Philippines’ editor-in-chief Anton San Diego highlighted the cultural resonance of the honour: “Asia’s Most Stylish honourees exemplify how style can reflect culture, influence and personal expression across our vibrant region.”
Ayala Corporation executive director and Ayala Land senior vice president Mariana Zobel de Ayala followed, affirming Greenbelt’s role as a cultural hub: “Greenbelt is more than just a shopping destination—it is a space where Filipino talent can thrive and shine alongside the world’s most iconic luxury houses.”
In partnership with Ayala Malls, Greenbelt 3 became the stage for the Philippines’ 2025 honourees, who dazzled in treasure trove pieces from Cartier, while HSBC invited guests to a shopping weekend in Greenbelt, with early holiday offers and zero per cent instalments on luxury buys using HSBC Credit Cards. The evening was brought to life by the ever-charismatic Tim Yap, whose lively hosting kept the energy vibrant throughout.
The Asia’s Most Stylish list was also the cover story of Tatler Philippines’ September issue that marked its 24th anniversary. Featured on the cover were TV personality Atasha Muhlach, entrepreneur Charmaine Lagman and fashion designer Jo Ann Bitagcol (who was unable to attend).
“It truly was such an honour,” said Muhlach, in a Comme des Garçons ensemble paired with Balenciaga shoes. “Thank you to the Tatler team, especially editor-in-chief Anton San Diego, for including me in this year’s Asia’s Most Stylish.”
Lagman took to the stage not only to be celebrated but also to share her perspective on authentic style: “It depends on my mood. When it talks to me—it’s all instinct.”
For Annette Gozon Valdes, style is a marker of star power. “They dictate their own style,” she noted when asked how she discerns who will truly make it. Michelle Marquez Dee, meanwhile, accessorised with a Louis Vuitton bag and offered advice for those still finding their footing: “It starts from who you believe you are.”
Photographer BJ Pascual, dressed in Rick Owens with a Balenciaga bag and an heirloom Rolex watch, summed up his own style ethos in three words: “Experimental. Cute. Popstar.”
Fashion content creator Lolo Drip cited Tyler, The Creator as his muse, while power couple Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid kept their approach refreshingly authentic. Umali looked radiant in Joey Samson, while Madrid paired David Milan with Ziggy Savella shoes. “We never really talk about what to wear; our goal is to dress as ourselves,” Umali said, with Madrid adding, “That’s true.”
“Less is more,” said Max Collins, looking sharp in a red Chris Nick. “I try to let my personality come out. I don’t overdo it.” Fe Rodriguez was equally stylish in a Valentino top paired with an Eustacia skirt and shared her approach: “Just be yourself... and look to people that inspire you. Do your own thing.”
The evening shimmered not just with the 2025 style icons but also with the familiar faces of fashion authority. Previous Asia’s Most Stylish honourees like Maica Salud Tady and Kifu Augousti added an extra layer of glamour.
The evening ended with cocktails, mingling and a celebration of the creative energy that continues to define Philippine fashion, reminding that style is both a statement and a lifestyle.
