Co-Founder, Burger Machine
In 1981, Fe Esperanza Santos-Rodriguez established a hit mobile food stand called Burger Machine. The enterprise immediately established itself by the late 80s and 90s thanks to its affordable burgers that are available even at the dawn of day.
Rodriguez was inspired by the burgers she had in America. With a PHP40,000 capital, the first Burger Machine store was opened near two gas stations in Quezon City. By June 1988, Burger Machine was recognised by food enthusiasts in and out of the Metro; it has established six more branches in areas such as Timog, Cubao, Tandang Sora Avenue, Makati, Padre Faura, and Marikina.
The food business was adored by many Filipinos thanks to its television advertisements that helped promote the late master rapper Francis Magalona and iconic rock band Eraserheads.
As of 2011, there are now more than 1000 Burger Machine stalls across the country.
