The runway is ready as Bench Fashion Week marks its comeback featuring Filipino designers for its holiday 2022 collection
You read that right—Bench Fashion Week (BFW) is set to return to a physical runway after a series of all-digital fashion shows for 2020 and 2021. Save the date as BFW officially opens on September 30 to October 2, 2022 at The Playground of Bench Tower.

BFW has been placing local designers front and centre since 2017, and this year’s show will be no different as the local fashion retail giant Bench puts the spotlight on a stylish mix of local and global brands, as well as homegrown and international talents.
True to its core, BFW had enlisted several industry heavyweights and upcoming designers on its roster during its five-year stint. This includes Proudrace, Sassa Jimenez, Ziggy Savella, Piopio, Jerome Lorico, Rhett Eala (2017), Vania Romoff, Joey Samson, Ivarluski Aseron, Dennis Lustico (2018), JC Buendia, Seph Bagasao, Mark Bumgarner, Albert Andrada, and Japan’s Mihara Yasuhiro (2019) and collaborations with designers Patty Ang, and New York-based designers Rafe Totengco and Willy Chavarria (2019).

BFW’s stage is also the homecourt of Bench Design Awards winners Jaggy Glarino, Randolf Clothing, Problem Studios by Jenni Contreras (2017), Renz Reyes, Ottomondi, CHED Studio (2018), Antonina, Jace Quiambao, and Bon Hansen (2019).
Bench Design Awards envisions taking Filipino talent to the global fashion arena by sending the winners to international fashion shows.

“We are in gratitude that you have supported this platform through the years,” Bench expressed in a statement.
This year, BFW will feature established brands and designers for its line-up. Antonina’s “Anito” shows a personal collection that explores the interplay of shadows and light. For Strongvillage, a streetwear-inspired one-of-a-kind showcase made from upcycled materials will surely be a showstopper. Kashieca partners up with long-time Bench endorser Lucy Torres-Gomez for a capsule collection of classic and easy chic pieces. To cap BFW, Bench teams up with the internationally renowned fashion designer Lesley Mobo for “Masaganang Ani,” a runway collection that celebrates the abundant rural life in the Philippines and its rich cultural and agricultural heritage.
