These are the influential leaders and industry veterans helping our search for the individuals driving the progress of women in Malaysia

Launched in Malaysia in 2023, the Front & Female Awards celebrate the individuals supporting and driving women’s progress in Malaysia, as demonstrated by launching or growing an initiative in the past 18 months. Last year, Tatler was privileged to cross paths with 20 incredible individuals shortlisted for the awards, from senior female leaders championing workplace equity to activists uplifting women in marginalised communities. Identifying these inspiring people and understanding the good work they do behind the scenes was no easy feat.

And so, lending their invaluable insights and experience to help us identify the deserving individuals for this year's awards, our Front & Female Awards voting committee comprises some of the most influential names in finance, sports, healthcare, arts, technology, and more in Malaysia. The list includes Professor Dato’ Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman, Malaysia’s leading leading expert in HIV/AIDs research and the first Malaysian appointed as commissioner of the Global Commission on Drug Policy. Other noteworthy names are renowned activist and writer Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, Yayasan Hasanah trustee and managing director Dato' Shahira Ahmed Bazari, and Dr Premitha Damodaran, a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist who spearheaded the nation’s first clinical practice guidelines for menopause management.

Proudly supporting the cause of inclusivity and equality in their fields of expertise, industry giants like PwC Malaysia strategy and transformation leader Andrew Chan and Saora Industries founder and CEO Ganesh Muren have also joined this prestigious line-up, along with Malek Ali, founder of Malaysia’s only independent radio station focused on business news and current affairs, BFM, and a member of the pioneer team behind Southeast Asia’s largest online employment portal, JobStreet. We’re also proud to welcome Women’s Aid Organisation's former deputy executive director Yu Ren-Chung back to the committee this year, alongside Ravindran Advocates and Solicitors managing partner Sharm Ravindran.

Other newcomers to this year’s committee include Paratus Energy chairperson Chow Mei Mei, Earth Heir co-founders Sasibai Kimis and Wong Xiao Cheng, and BCG Malaysia's Nurlin Mohd Salleh, who serves as managing director and partner, and head of the global management consulting firm's Malaysia office. Representing the arts and creative industries sector are renowned names like Malaysian actress and performer Susan Lankester and Double Vision Pictures head of production, Lim Siu Min.

The best and brightest of their kind, these men and women have been instrumental in identifying the unsung heroes championing the advancement of women in their respective industries.
