From Boracay to Siargao, these yoga and wellness studios make it easy to keep your practice going while you travel

A well-earned holiday is one of the best forms of self-care—but so is sticking to your practice. Across the Philippines, yoga and Pilates studios make it easy to roll out a mat, book a reformer or even find a barre class without breaking stride. Whether you’re chasing a sunrise flow before breakfast, a post-flight stretch to get the body moving, or a proper Pilates session between lazy days at the beach, these studios prove that rewarding yourself with a trip doesn’t mean putting your practice—or your progress—on pause.

In case you missed it: 9 apps to help travellers stay on top of their fitness routine

1. 8 Club Lagree Cebu

Location: Streetscape Mall, Banilad, Cebu City

Cebu is a major gateway for island-hopping across the Visayas, and 8 Club Lagree gives travellers passing through a reason to break up transit days. Opened in February 2026, it’s the city’s first certified Lagree studio, offering a high-intensity, low-impact workout designed to sculpt muscles, strengthen the core and improve cardiovascular health in just 45 minutes. Expect slow, controlled movements that target slow-twitch muscle fibres by optimising time under tension, resulting in muscular “shakes” that challenge your endurance. Don’t forget to pick up some treats on your way out, like their strawberry banana or pistachio overnight oats.

2. After Boracay

Location: Sunflower Building, Main Road, Balabag, Boracay Island

A space for wellness that focuses on “restoration rather than intensity”, After Boracay is primed for travellers seeking to slow down and reconnect. Open daily, their 60-minute classes span core-focused strength yoga, grounding breathwork practice and energising vinyasa flow. With just eight students per class, expect hands-on teaching and a calm studio environment. Keen to take your practice to the next level? After Boracay is hosting its first five-day, 50-hour yoga immersion retreat this September.

Tatler Tip: Check out their Instagram page to see The After Boracay Guide, with recommendations that embrace a slower side to the tourist destination, like boutique hotels and matcha cafés.

3. Anahaw Dauin

Location: La Independencia Street, Poblacion, Dauin

Found about 15km from Dumaguete City, Dauin is another tourist destination known for its marine sanctuaries, black sand beaches and volcanic hot springs. Also here is Anahaw: a plant-based restaurant, yoga studio and freediving centre rolled into one. Their weekly yoga classes include morning sweat sessions, power yoga, HIIT yoga, ashtanga fusion and restorative yoga, among others—they’ve even hosted a pulse and whisk pilates and matcha class in the past. Work up your appetite with one of their classes, then tuck into their smoothie bowl, vegan breakfast plate or pancakes.

Since opening, they’ve rapidly expanded their portfolio to include strength reformer, hot Pilates, mat Pilates and full-body strength classes, as well as prenatal and senior-friendly reformer options, plus callisthenics and handstand training. Looking for a more gentle practice? They also offer gentle flow yoga, vinyasa yoga and sculpt and weights yoga.

Eager to continue your Pilates regimen while on vacation? Feral is Siargao’s first and only reformer Pilates studio, offering classes that emphasise science-led guidance and intentional movement. Allegra de Borja, Feral’s co-founder, is not only a Merrithew-trained Stott Pilates instructor, but also a Philippine Board-certified physical therapist, so you can trust the precision behind every class. Choose from the longevity class, which promotes sustainable fitness; the surf class, designed to support your surfing performance; the flexibility class, for increased mobility; the fight class, primed for athletic power; and groundwork, perfect for beginners.

Tatler Tip: Feral also runs a studio next door for yoga, barre, and dance, called Feral Movement. In the same complex is Holding Space by Vultun, home to sound healing, meditation, and breathwork practices.

6. Modo Studio Bacolod

Location: The Shophouse Heritage, Bacolod City

Bacolod’s reputation as the City of Smiles extends to its food scene and festival calendar, and travellers who spend a few days working through plates of chicken inasal will find Modo Studio a useful reset between meals. Modo Studio boasts a vibrant range of classes for various forms of movement, suited for both early risers and night owls—think 7:30am hot Pilates or gentle yoga through to 10:30am boxing basics, 6pm intro to Muay Thai and even callisthenics-based classes at 7pm. They’ve even got programming for little ones: beginner dance for kids, plus sponge painting and turtle crawl classes for babies aged six to 26 months, aimed at building fine and gross motor skills. Keep your eyes peeled for other one-off classes, like core & booty blast pilates, boxing basics and sunset sessions.

Originally from Toronto, Desiree Gamotin opened the studio in 2025, building on principles of community and connection. Their weekly schedule includes vinyasa flows, gentle hatha flows, fast-paced rocket yoga and even a candlelit vinyasa every Wednesday led by Bea Gonzalez to the beats of R&B and soul.
