Ahead of the opening of Hilton Singapore Orchard, Tatler Asia got an exclusive first look inside the new five-star hotel on Orchard Road
There's a new Hilton in town, and it's set to be the hotel group's largest property in Asia Pacific with a total of 1,080 newly refurbished guest rooms and suites.
"How do you make a 1,080-room hotel feel intimate? That was our challenge," says General Manager Cedric Nubul. A challenge that has been masterfully executed through thoughtful and elegant design, which puts the experience of its guests at the forefront.
Tatler Asia got an exclusive first look at the Hilton Singapore Orchard, which is set to open its doors this Thursday, February 24. Here's what we know about the hotel so far...
Making an Entrance
Taking over the site that was once the Mandarin Orchard, Hilton Singapore Orchard is situated on a prime location on one of the city's busiest and most popular retail destinations.
"We wanted to create a grand sense of arrival," says Nubul as we stand in the hotel's double-ceiling lobby, which is flooded with natural light. A vision brought to life by local design firm Avalon Collective, the hotel lobby is fitted with a chandelier, brass accents and elegant green tiles.
Nubul adds that the lobby's contemporary design is a nod to Orchard Road's heritage. "There's a strong botanical influence in the design of the hotel; we want to retell the story of Orchard Road."

Make Yourself at Home
The use of curved arches and rounded edges create a sense of softness and ease throughout the hotel, including in its 1,080 guest rooms complete with marble ensuite.
Hilton Singapore Orchard will offer five styles of suites, topped by a palatial 1,657 square foot Presidential Suite complete with a private office, walk-in wardrobe, sweeping views, plus a dining area that seats up to 10 guests.
Guests staying in one of the suites will have access to an executive lounge, which will offer complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, snacks throughout the day and happy hour drinks.
