From the world's highest hotel in Shanghai to an adults-only resort in the Italian countryside, Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) recently announced the addition of nine new members to its collection of more than 400 independent, luxury hotels

Anantara Palazzo Naiadi, Rome, Italy

This 19th century marble palace hotel is located on Rome's Piazza della Repubblica, adjacent to the famous Diocletian Thermal Baths and a stone's throw from the city's most iconic attractions including Piazza di Spagna, the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

The majestic hotel features neoclassical design, with has 238 rooms, an Anantara Spa and a rooftop pool with stunning views over Rome. A range of dining options are also available, including Tazio Restaurant and Posh Rooftop Restaurant & Lounge Bar.

Baglioni Resort Sardinia, Italy

J Hotel Shanghai Tower

J Hotel Shanghai Tower made history when it opened in June 2021—occupying the 84th to 105th and the 120th floor of the soaring Shanghai Tower, it is officially the world's highest hotel. 

The hotel features 165 guest rooms and seven restaurants and bars with spectacular aerial views of Shanghai. Unapologetic opulence is achieved in the hotel's design with the use of lacquer, crystal and mosaics.

Le K2 Chogori, Val-d'Isère, France

This luxury ski resort in the Alps opened in 2020 in the heart of Val d’Isère village, and minutes from the legendary Val d´Isère - Tignes ski area.

Le K2 Chogori was built for après-ski indulgences, be it at the Goji Spa by Valmont, its fine dining restaurant L’Altiplano 2.0—after the original L'Altiplano at L1 K2 Altitude in Courchevel—and its quirky-chic Le 1954 restaurant and bar, which boasts a sunny terrace overlooking the village.

Nayara Hangaroa, Easter Islands

Set to open in 2022, this 46-villa Caribbean resort is set to provide a private, cliff-side escape that captures the elegance of the Mediterranean.

A sister property to Leading Hotels’ Grace Bay Club, Rock House will be located on Providenciales’ north shore, where guests will have access to an exclusive stretch of white sand beach.
