Macau is entering a new era of elegance, as Galaxy Entertainment Group announces its partnership with Capella Hotels and Resorts to open Capella at Galaxy Macau in 2025.
The Capella brand has become synonymous with luxury—from its debut property on Sentosa Island, where peacocks freely roam the grounds, in Singapore, to the exceptional riverside Capella Bangkok, the otherworldly Capella Ubud shrouded by jungle to Capella Sydney, which is housed in a beautifully refurbished Edwardian Baroque-style heritage building.
Now, Capella brings its signature high-end hotel experience to Macau.

Capella at Galaxy Macau will bring a uniquely boutique hotel experience to the city, with just 57 suites and 36 Sky Villas. The epitome of luxury, the Sky Villas were designed to entertain with a sprawling terrace featuring an infinity pool, 24-hour butler service, a karaoke room, a private cocktail bar and games lounge.
The suites are more intimate though no less impressive, with private plunge pools and balconies overlooking panoramic views of Macau’s glittering skyline.
Capella at Galaxy Macau’s interiors are designed by Paris-based firm Moinard Bētaille, which designed some of the world’s most beautiful hotels including Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, Four Seasons Hotel Ten Trinity in London and JW Marriott Seoul.
Sparing no expense when it comes to exceptional design, Galaxy Entertainment Group also tapped some of Hong Kong’s most celebrated designers to bring its exciting food and beverage concepts to life.
Its equestrian-themed, members-only lounge Pony & Plume is designed by Hong Kong interior design icon Albert Kwan, who is no stranger to ultra-exclusive spaces—after all, he designed Hong Kong’s prestigious China Club and Cipriani.
Pony & Plume will house an impressive selection of Japanese whiskies, and curios from a private collection of antiques and art.
Capella at Galaxy Macau’s restaurant will be the brainchild of two of Hong Kong’s most celebrated and creative talent—featuring a menu designed by chef Vicky Cheng and interiors by award-winning interior designer, Joyce Wang.
Cheng was awarded Chef of the Year at this year’s Tatler Dining Awards, and his restaurants Wing and Vea were both featured in the Top 20 restaurants in Hong Kong for 2024.
Expressing his excitement about his highly-anticipated restaurant concept at Capella at Galaxy Macau, Cheng says, "I’m thrilled to showcase the distinctive ingredients and rich heritage of the Pearl River Delta in my fresh and independent concept at Capella at Galaxy Macau. I look forward to presenting my refined, innovative take on French-meets-Chinese flavors and techniques with an experimental twist at the first outpost to bring my signature fine-dining concept onto international turf.”
