The streaming platform is releasing more than 80 original titles this year across multiple genres and languages
After unveiling its Korean content slate for 2022, Netflix shows no sign of stopping down. The streaming giant has revealed its original movie lineup for the year and it’s looking absolutely stacked with more than 80 titles across various genres and languages.
The next time you plan a movie night, you know Netflix has you covered, whether you’re in need of a laugh, cry, scream or cheer. Some of the notable titles include Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans’ pulse-pounding action, The Gray May and Halle Berry’s epic sci-fi adventure, The Mothership.
Those who have an appetite for mystery can tune in to the follow-up to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out which stars Daniel Craig, post-James Bond. Meanwhile, Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavil are returning as sibling detectives in Enola Holmes 2.

Over at the comedy department, check out Hustle and Spaceman with Adam Sandler, They Cloned Tyrone with Jamie Foxx, You People with Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy or Me Time with Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg.
There’s also something for the whole family to enjoy. Feel like a kid again with The Adam Project, starring Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldaña. Meanwhile, animated film The Sea Beast Slumberland starring Jason Moma and the live-action adaptation of The School for Good and Evil with Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington are expected to impress. Roald Dahl’s Matilda will also be getting a new treatment starring Lashana Lynch and Emma Thompson.
You can catch your favourite filmmakers such as Guillermo del Toro and Richard Linklater or watch directorial debuts from Dev Patel and Kenya Barris as well. According to Netflix, at least one movie will be released every week with some already released. See the full list of titles below.
