As Daniel Craig bids farewell to British spy James Bond, here's a look at the Omega timepieces that had accompanied him through five movies

Omega has costume designer Lindy Hemming to thank for its entry into the world of intrigue, mayhem and explosive car chases that James Bond inhabits. In 1995, as GoldenEye went into production, Hemming recommended dressing Bond in an Omega Seamaster considering the character's background as a naval officer.

“I was convinced that Commander Bond, a naval man, a diver, and a discreet gentleman of the world would wear this watch," Hemming said, adding that when her father was in the Royal Air Force, he would always wear an Omega. Her instinct was spot on; delving deeper into history of the British Royal Navy, it was revealed that an Omega Seamaster 300 originally released in 1957 was issued to military divers everywhere. Omega would go on to produce watches for UK's Ministry of Defence that went to arming its officers in the sky, on land and in the sea.

For this reason alone, Omega makes the ideal complement to the suave 007 agent. When he debuted as Bond in Casino Royale in 2006, Daniel Craig brought a sense of grittiness to the character; his Bond is brawnier, more reckless—there's an edge that we had never seen before, which revitalises the character for a new generation of audience.

Omega matches Craig's virile Bond with functional instruments that don't compromise on style. In No Time To Die, Bond straps on the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition in super lightweight but incredibly durable grade 2 titanium with matching mesh bracelet. The Co-Axial movement is tested to be resistant against magnetic field of up to 15,000 gauss, ensuring that the watch consistently operates at high accuracy.

A limited edition Seamaster 300M James Bond has also been released for the public (it doesn't appear in the movie), a 42mm stainless steel with black rubber strap with an 18k yellow gold plate on the side of the case. It comes with an additional steel bracelet. Only 7,007 pieces are available.
