The Chronomat 32 and 36 are the first in the collection to be designed exclusively for women
During a recent webcast hosted by Breitling CEO Georges Kern, actress and philanthropist Charlize Theron was wearing the new Chronomat 36 with a diamond-set bezel. When Kerns asked her about the watch, she jokingly said, "Well, Georges, you made another terrible watch," before adding that "it's a stunner! The thing that I love about it is the duality of it. It's classic yet modern."
One of Hollywood's most luminous stars today, Theron could very well be describing herself. Already part of the Breilting Cinema Squad alongside Brad Pitt and Adam Driver, she has been chosen to personify the ladies Chronomat. Joining her on the Spotlight Squad for the new Chronomat are American ballerina Misty Copeland and Chinese actress Yao Chen, who was one of Time magazine's Most Influential People in 2014.

The Chronomat has a history that goes all the way back to the 1940s, but the design that we see today is based on its revival in the 1980s when the four rider tabs were included on the bezel at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock; they have since become the watch's signature design element.
Earlier this year, the sports chronograph also brought back the Rouleaux bracelet with its retro-ish cylindrical links and butterfly clasp.
