From participating in other reality shows to photoshoots and trips to Singapore, here's what our favourite ridiculously wealthy cast members have been up to since filming wrapped last year

At this point, it seems like we know just about everything when it comes to Netflix’s most popular luxury reality show, Bling Empire. From their individual net worths to how much they make per sponsored Instagram post, we have done all the investigative work there is.

However, unlike other famous reality shows such as Keeping Up With The Kardashians (which sees storylines that follow headlines the public typically sees just months before the episodes air), Bling Empire has a rather interesting filming timeline.

For example, season one of the show was filmed in 2019 despite the fact that it was only released on Netflix in January 2021. Similarly, season two of the hit reality series was filmed around May 2021 and was released over a year later on May 13, 2022.

As you can imagine, we don’t really have an up to date view of the lives of the cast members from watching the show. Below, find out what Los Angeles’ rich and famous have been up to in the last year since filming wrapped.

1. Kane Lim

Since shooting to fame with Bling Empire, the reality show’s most glamourous and financially savvy cast member, Kane Lim, has been capitalising on his newfound fame with a capital C.

For one, Lim was recently named the first Southeast Asian Fenty Beauty ambassador, a role he wears with pride. The reality star was recently in Singapore to meet fans at Sephora in Ion Orchard with Fenty, where he received an overwhelming outpouring of support as fans flocked down to meet him.

Many would also know how passionate Lim is about religion and recently, the star was honoured by His Eminence Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche as a Peace Ambassador for the Universal Peace Sanctuary at the birth place of Buddha in Lumbini.

Besides flaunting his friendship with Rihanna as well as other celebrities such as Katy Perry and Heart Evangelista on Instagram, the star also managed to pay a visit to Tatler House in Singapore in February this year.

2. Christine Chiu

Since filming wrapped, Christine Chiu, who is one of Bling Empire’s producers, participated with 15 other celebrities on season 30 of Dancing With The Stars.

Chiu put up a strong fight but was eliminated on week three alongside her professional dance partner, Pasha Pashkov. She also, in January this year, was a guest judge on Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Besides dancing and giving style advice, Chiu has continued attending high-profile parties with the likes of socialite Kathy Hilton and Emily in Paris star Ashley Park. She has also been running Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, the business that she co-founded with her husband, while raising her son, Gabriel Chiu III, aka Baby G.

3. Kevin Kreider

When Bling Empire season two ended, we were left hanging when it came to Kreider and his relationship with Kim Lee, a fellow castmate and long-time friend.

Since filming wrapped though, Kreider has admitted in interviews that he continues to have a good relationship with Lee, even better than his relationship with Lim. He has said that it is not awkward between them and that they have both moved on as adults.

Besides his relationship with Lee, Kreider has also been hard at work on his upcoming romantic comedy, Asian Persuasion, which features a mostly Asian and Asian American cast. The film is directed by Jhett Tolentino and stars Dante Basco, Toni Gonzaga, Paolo Montalban, Celia Au and Jax Bacani next to Kreider.

4. Anna Shay

Considering that Shay tends to keep a rather low profile outside the show, there is not much to be updated on with the show’s fairy godmother.

However, we do know that Shay recently sold her house that was featured on Bling Empire. The property was purchased about nine years ago and eventually sold for US$13.8 million.

She has also participated in multiple photoshoots and continues to attend fashion shows and red carpets.

5. Cherie Chan and Jessey Lee

While Cherie Chan and Jessey Lee are not in season two of Bling Empire, it might interest fans to know that the pair have already tied the knot in a secret ceremony.

When we left the couple in season one, Chan had just proposed to Lee. In August last year, Lee set up an elaborate proposal in Paris. He popped the question at the Jacquemart-André Museum, which he arranged to have closed to the public for the occasion.

The big question was popped in front of a special painting he commissioned of himself and Chan.

The couple then exchanged vows on September 8, 2021, at the Château de Saran castle in Champagne, France. The ceremony was small due to Covid-19 restrictions but the pair have said they want to hold a bigger celebration when it becomes possible to do so.

At the wedding, Chan wore a strapless white gown, custom-made by Nicole + Felicia while Lee went with a traditional black suit designed by Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.

6. Kelly Mi Li

As one of Bling Empire’s producers, Kelly Mi Li has been in the news as of late because she is reportedly suing the show’s production company.

Li claims she came up with the idea of the reality show in 2018 but was never credited, which is what led her to file a complaint against Jeff Jenkins.

Li is alleging that she and Jenkins worked together for months on the concept of the show and that she should be named an executive producer on the show and paid as such.

Only time will tell how this dramatic lawsuit plays out.

In other news, she was recently seen in Singapore when she joined Lim at his Fenty appearance at the Sephora outlet in Ion Orchard, much to the delight of fans.
