Like its original series, the new show follows a new group of wealthy and sophisticated Asian Americans who take on the challenges of high society in New York. Throughout the series, we see the group flaunt their wealth while dealing with everyday life.

As expected, the high society group's extravagant lifestyle takes centre stage in the show. So how do they keep up with one another? Luckily for us, Netflix helpfully included the net worths of some of these ultra-rich individuals during the show. Below, we list what we know about their wealth as well as the influential families that some of them come from.

3. Blake Abbie

Prior to being the editor-at-large of the bi-annual indie Parisian fashion magazine, A Magazine Curated By, this fashion editor turned reality star began his career as a photography assistant. In 2018, Abbie also made his television debut in the Chinese TV series, Meteor Garden. According to the series, his family net worth is estimated to be around US$20 million.

4. Tina Leung

5. Lynn Ban

Lynn Ban was born into a wealthy family in Singapore. Her father, David Ban, is the executive director of Kuala Lumpur-based developer Venus Assets and also launched Japanese chain, Genki Sushi, in Singapore and Hong Kong. Ban's mother, Patricia, is a certified gemologist.

While hailing from a privileged family, Ban has also made a name for herself over the years in the fashion industry. 6. Nam Laks

Known as the Blair Waldorf of Thailand, Nam Laks is the youngest child of Thai businessman, Nakorn Laksanakarn. According to LinkedIn, Laksanakarn was the former managing director of real estate developer Natural Park Public Company Limited.

It is currently unclear as to what Laks is doing for a living. However, during the series, we know that the youngest cast member had been relying on her family's wealth to fund her lifestyle while finishing her Master's degree from Colombia University.

While her net worth has not been released, we know she lives a comfortable life—in the series, we see Laks dropping US$10,000 on a shopping spree. When asked how much she had spent, she says: "It's fine, my daddy will pay ... It doesn't matter. I don't want to know". Following the conversation, she received a call from her brother who told her how their father was not pleased with her recent haul. He even said (cue gasp) their father will cut her off upon graduation. Will that be her storyline for the next season? Time will tell.
