Architology Interiors was recently tasked to give this enviable accommodation an overhaul to maximise its full spatial potential. Already a frequent collaborator with the developer, the design practice is the creative mind behind several beautiful renovations of show flats in the developer’s Cape Royale and Seascape condominiums.
Follow the Course

The penthouse already had many enviable qualities even before the renovation, such as its generous footprint, as well as one of the best vantage points of the Sentosa Cove waterway.
“The space is so generous that, as with many large homes, the challenge lay in using it meaningfully and elegantly,” comments Terrence Quah, co-founder of Architology Interiors and lead designer on this project. “The design had to balance functionality and furniture with a sense of openness, ensuring the spaciousness felt intentional rather than overwhelming.”

Timeless Appeal
To start off, the design firm put together a muted colour and material palette designed as the embodiment of quiet luxury. Curvaceous forms and wavy details on the furnishings allude to the nautical-influenced architecture. Teal blue and green accents on the lighting, art and wallcoverings offer a nod to the seafaring lifestyle.
The first storey is designed to communicate a sense of understated elegance. “The space is choreographed to guide your view, with a terraced layout that creates a sense of depth. Each level draws you towards the terrace, while the balcony offers sweeping views of the house,” explains the designer.

Open shelves run the length of the living area, creating visual interest with a tasteful mix of vases and sculptures. The living room is designed for large gatherings. It is fitted with a pair of custom L-shaped sofas that provide ample room for lounging, along with a pair of Porada armchairs. The sinuous lines on the custom rug reference the waves outdoors, matched with lacquered side tables that catch the light from the large glass doors that slide open to the outdoor terrace.
Plant life and trees enrich the terrace, creating a garden-like atmosphere that makes alfresco dining so desirable. Barbecue facilities provide another reason to gather at the rooftop area.

Easy Does It
The master bedroom located on the second floor introduces a brighter palette. The vertical garden provides a refreshing addition, matched with colourful artworks and rugs featuring flora and fauna. Dressed in fun fabrics, accent pieces such as a striped Arflex Boborelax seat by Cini Boeri help to make the space pop.

Ambient and task lighting were also carefully placed to enhance the atmosphere throughout the interior of the penthouse. These include the ethereal Flamingo pendant from Vibia as well as the sculptural Flare chandelier from Bomma in the family area.
The end result is a stylish home that brings to life the refined island lifestyle at one of Singapore’s most desirable residential addresses and the latent qualities of this covetable penthouse apartment.
