The two-night opening ceremony, organised in collaboration with Tatler Homes Singapore, invited guests to experience the range of innovative living and kitchen appliances from the Swiss brand V-Zug

Swiss luxury brand V-Zug has consistently been at the forefront of delivering premium living and kitchen innovations at the highest standards. Over a century since its founding in 1913, the luxury appliance manufacturer has continued to expand its global footprint with the opening of showrooms across notable cities in Asia, and is behind numerous appliance solutions for modern homeowners that are in equal parts stylish, innovative, and eco-conscious.

Celebrating its new chapter as well as its 110th anniversary this year, V-Zug invited architects, designers, developers, and homeowners to the grand opening of its Ion Orchard showroom in Singapore. During the private two-night occasion organised in collaboration with official media partner Tatler Homes Singapore, guests had the chance to celebrate the Swiss company’s newest milestone and discover the top-notch suite of appliances up close and in action.

Hosted by emcee Evangeline Long, the first night of the grand opening began on a high note with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with V-Zug’s key management that included its chief international officer, Alberto Bertoz. Also in attendance at the event were notable members from Switzerland, including Gabriel Castelló Pinyon, head of brand displays for international markets; Castelló Pinyon worked closely with Peter Tay Studio to realise the showroom design of the V-Zug boutique in Ion Orchard.

“It is important that our clients can see us in the space and see how our [design] approach is humble and low-key with clean lines and a minimalistic appeal,” says Castelló Pinyon. “V-Zug is a sustainable company, so sustainability is always on the table when we decide to have a showroom. We use these eco-conscious principles and try our best to work with local suppliers that share the same values as us and avoid bringing [materials] from overseas.”

“With this grand opening, we would like to emphasise how much V-Zug remains committed to its customers,” remarked Angeline Yap, managing director of V-Zug Singapore and Southeast Asia. “Now, [customers] will enjoy a ten-year warranty with any appliance purchased with V-Zug, demonstrating our confidence in our products.”

Guests also made a toast to the eventful occasion with glasses of champagne, as well as cocktails from Tippling Club while enjoying beautiful symphonies performed live by musician duo Jocelyn Ng and Daniel Chia.
