These illustrious names and tastemakers will decide on the winners for the upcoming 2023 edition of the Tatler Homes Design Awards - Malaysia
How do you craft a home that is both memorable and made to last? Some of the most talented designers we know make it appear so effortless, as they bring together a tasteful blend of materials, colours, and shapes to create spaces that feel cosy, comfortable and optimised to fit the lifestyle of their inhabitants.
Already in its seventh year in Singapore, the Tatler Homes Design Awards will debut in Malaysia this year and will celebrate some of the most well-executed residential projects that fulfil and also exceed the brief, delivering spaces that impress homeowners and visitors alike. In Malaysia, the awards event, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur on May 31, 2023, is sponsored by Cosentino, Royal Selangor, SKS Worldwide Group, Lladro, Sime Darby Property, and KLGCC Resort.
We peruse over a hundred entries as we select the best home designs featured in Tatler Homes. Ahead of the momentous occasion, we unveil the panel of jurors who will weigh in on the best projects for the 2023 edition of the Tatler Homes Design Awards - Malaysia.

Established in 1999 by Ed Ng and Terence Ngan, AB Concept is a Hong Kong-based firm that has crafted memorable spaces that combine rigour with warmth.
Recent hospitality and commercial projects completed by the studio include Four Seasons Hong Kong, W Algarve in Portugal, and Paper Moon Giardino, an Italian restaurant in Milan. This year, Ng will offer his expertise as a juror for the Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia editions of the awards ceremony.

Omar Khan creates rugs and interior design with his signature imaginative flair. The Singapore-born, Kuala Lumpur-based designer’s work is informed by his multicultural background and diverse experience in visual merchandising and graphic design.
A Tatler's Asia’s Most Influential honouree for two years, Khan’s rugs adorn private homes and luxury hotels, including St. Regis Maldives, Nobu Hotel London Shoreditch, and designer boutiques like the Christian Louboutin stores in Shanghai and Beijing. His most recent coup was designing the bedheads, rugs, and carpets at Else Kuala Lumpur.

Founder of BETA (BEu Tan Architect), Bee Eu Tan is an award-winning architect recognised for the adaptive reuse of heritage buildings in her native Penang and beyond. Her maiden project in Alor Setar, the Kedah Digital Library, won gold at the PAM (Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia) Awards 2022’s Adaptive Reuse Category, giving her a total of seven design awards and a third gold at the PAM Awards in the last four years.
Other heritage buildings recently benefiting from Tan’s intuitive touch include the art deco-style Penang Hill Gallery @ Edgecliff and Eythrope Bungalow. A Tatler's Asia’s Most Influential honouree for two years, she is also the organiser of Pechakucha Penang, a global networking event for creatives.

A multiple award-winning interior designer, Lai Siew Hong is the creative mind behind the design for numerous hospitality and F&B establishments, including luxury hotels The Edison George Town and EQ KL, Kuala Lumpur rooftop bar Sky51 and Spice Market Restaurant in Langkawi.
A long-time member and immediate past president of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Design (MIID), Lai is also the chairman of the MIID REKA Conference and an adjunct lecturer at Taylor’s University Malaysia. In recognition of his accomplishments, Lai was voted Asia’s Most Influential Designer at the Designer of the Year Awards in 2020 and a Tatler's Asia’s Most Influential honouree in 2021.
