The singer stepped out in a metallic Oscar de la Renta look at this year’s VMAs to accept two awards for 'All Too Well', and announced a new album dropping in October

Taylor Swift nailed her VMAs look this year.

The singer wore a risqué silver number by Oscar de la Renta—a take on the “naked” dress made up of hundreds of sparkling strings of gems that draped over her body, complete with cutouts, a high neckline and a short hemline.

She paired the look with silver Christian Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery, sported metallic nails and silvery eye make-up, and brought contrast to the shiny ensemble with her signature red lip.

Swift took home two awards, including Video of the Year and Best Longform Video, for All Too Well starring Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and Not Okay's Dylan O'Brien. This makes her the first artist in VMA history to win Video of the Year three times—her other wins include Bad Blood in 2015 and You Need to Calm Down in 2019.

The heartfelt video has over 74 million views on Youtube and is speculated to be based on Swift’s past relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, although these claims have been denied by the actor.

During her acceptance speech, Swift also announced her new album, Midnights, which will be released on October 21.

She posted the album art on Instagram, which features her wearing a Brigitte Bardot-esque make-up look, as well as the inspiration behind the songs, which came from “stories of 13 sleepless nights”.
