This impressive abode scooped up both the accolades for World’s Best International Residential Interior Apartment and the World’s Best International Kitchen Design at the 2022-2023 International Property Awards. To create its unique look, the designers drew inspiration from the family’s travels.

“The well-travelled owners wanted their home to look different and interesting, with surprises to be discovered in every corner,” says Tay, elaborating on the apartment design that won the aforementioned accolades at the 2022-2023 International Property Awards. He adds: “For this project, we injected colours, textures and patterns to create a unique and luxurious interior. We wanted to create a sense of awe in every part of the house by adding interesting elements to the spaces; this makes it feel like one is exploring the world within the home.

The apartment is truly a jewel box of surprises, with many eye-catching details to be uncovered as you move from room to room. The kitchen is as remarkable with its teal-blue cabinetry and an onyx island. The onyx panel is backlit to highlight its beautiful veins, while the cabinetry not only makes an impression with the deep teal blue hue. The dining area is even more striking with the contrasting hot-pink Heron wallpaper from Gucci Decor and blue seats; the latter also picks up the tone seen in the kitchen.

With its elongated layout and the magnificent views of the sea, staying in this luxurious apartment in the Corals by Keppel Bay condominium feels also like being at sea. It was awarded the Best Interior Design - Private Residence (Singapore) at the 2018-2019 International Property Awards, in recognition of its remarkable design.

“The layout of the home is elongated and spacious, appearing like the shape of a superyacht or a ship,” Tay recalls. An outdoor terrace runs along the side of its living and dining areas, not unlike the outdoor passageway of a yacht—it leads to a considerable outdoor deck and Jacuzzi area that overlooks the marina.

This 5,000sqft single-storey apartment already makes an indelible impression with its waterfront location and generous living areas. So what the family wanted were equally opulent furnishings to match the apartment’s remarkable features.

It was through a feature by Tatler Homes Singapore that the family found the perfect collaborator; they were so impressed by the project that they hired Prestige Global Designs swiftly to give their spacious apartment a beautiful makeover. Gold accents and the views were among the key priorities of this project, and the designers ensured that all the furnishings came together harmoniously within this exquisite interior.

This strata house was named the winner of the Best Living Room (Reader’s Choice) category of the Tatler Homes Design Awards 2021, and it is easy to see why. Its minimalist scheme  seems almost austere at first glance, but is filled with ample details that help liven up the largely grey setting. A handsome mix of materials such as marble, granite and leather communicate luxury and are highlighted by the abundance of natural light in the living and dining areas.
