Tatler Asia

This weekend, save a seat at Luce and delight in chef de cuisine Davide Giacomelli’s latest Italian bistronomic champagne buffet brunch. Begin at the seafood and sashimi on ice station and savour freshly shucked oysters, tiger prawns and juicy Boston lobster. These whet the palate for tantalising mains to come, like the orecchia di elefante, and pasta al forno. The former is a signature dish of Lombardy, a northern region of Italy, and comprises tender veal meat that has been thinly sliced, breaded and fried until golden. The latter is a pasta dish of penne pasta mixed with pork-beef Bolognese and bechamel sauce. Save room for dessert, as you would not want to miss out on executive pastry chef Desmond Lee’s luce-misu. A crowd favourite and a twist on the traditional tiramisu, this sweet creation sees layers of light mascarpone cream, espresso syrup, fluffy lady finger sponge, and crunchy feuilletine.
