Seven award-winning chefs and four master mixologists from Asia team up in Hong Kong for five days of collaboration and takeover experiences

Mark your calendars, clear your schedules, and prepare your taste buds for something extraordinary. From April 22 to 26, 2026, the Tatler Best Takeover Series, presented by Mastercard, returns to Hong Kong to present the most compelling talents from the Tatler Best community to celebrate the region’s evolving gastronomic identity.

Across five days, seven chefs and four mixologists come together for new collaborations that are available exclusively to Mastercard cardholders through priceless.com, with benefits including guaranteed window seating and complimentary welcome drinks across select experiences. Plus, this year, the series ventures beyond the plate with two new ‘Diversity’ experiences that invite guests to explore the parallel disciplines of wellness and watchmaking, pairing them with exceptional dining.

This is not a culinary and mixology festival in the traditional sense; it is a series of deliberate encounters between kindred spirits, each bringing their distinct philosophies and craft to the table.

Under Lab brings its methodical, concept-driven approach to the bar. Here, cocktails reward attention; layered, intentional and built around structure. Where some bars lead with immediacy, Under Lab invites you to slow down, taste closely, and engage with the thinking behind each creation.

Where craft meets craft
Yong Fu Hong Kong

In collaboration with Hong Kong watchmaker John Ng of Montres, this intimate encounter, presented by Mastercard and Bank of China, of fine watchmaking precedes an eight-hands dinner that unites four culinary traditions. Then, Wang Yong (Jin Sha), Ryu Shunsuke (Fumée Yakitori) and Kim Hock Su (Restaurant Au Jardin) come together around a single menu at Yong Fu Hong Kong with Liu Zhen. Here, Jiangnan Chinese cuisine, Japanese yakitori, modern French cooking and Ningbo cuisine are shaped by Asian ingredients, each dish a meditation on precision, timing and balance. The shared language is craft itself.
