Across three realms of hospitality—restaurants, bars, and hotels—Indonesia makes an impression at the third edition of Tatler Best Asia-Pacific

Held on October 22, 2026 at Shanghai’s Yan Garden, Tatler Best Asia-Pacific brought together industry leaders from across the hospitality industry to celebrate the region’s most distinguished destinations. This year’s edition recognised 300 venues across the Tatler Best 100 lists, alongside an expanded programme of Best-in-Class distinctions.

Among the standout achievements of the evening was Indonesia’s impressive showing, with 19 establishments earning places across the Tatler Best 100 lists: five restaurants, five bars, and an impressive nine luxury hotels. The results underscore the breadth of the country’s hospitality landscape, from its culinary identity and cocktail culture to its internationally-recognised luxury stays.

Indonesia’s recognised restaurants reflected a diverse blend of modern Indonesian cuisine with global influences. Three Bali establishments—Locavore NXT, Home by Chef Wayan, and Room4Dessert—were joined by Jakarta’s August and Kindling.

The country’s bar scene proved equally as formidable, with five establishments recognised for their contributions to Asia-Pacific’s drinks scene: Jakarta’s Between The Sips, Carrots, Cosmo Pony, and Modernhaus, are joined by Bali’s Segno.

Adding to Indonesia’s accolades, Cosmo Pony also received the Best Innovation award, recognising its boundary-pushing approach to cocktail creation and its influence on Jakarta’s growing bar scene.
