The award-winning Jigger & Pony Group teams up with the House of Suntory for a bold new concept on Cecil Street, a cocktail-first space where Japanese craft, culture and creativity collide
The team behind Jigger & Pony—Singapore’s most celebrated bar group—is adding a new name to its roster: Pop City x Pony. Created in collaboration with the House of Suntory, which will open on Cecil Street on November 26, and it’s shaping up to be the group’s most expressive project yet.
Think of it as Jigger & Pony’s love letter to modern Japan; not the postcard version, but the neon-soaked, music-charged undercurrent that pulses through Tokyo’s subcultures. Designed by Peter Sillings & Associates, the venue unfolds like a concept album: a mirrored Byōbu Bar here, a hidden Bar Mixtape inspired by Golden Gai there, and rooms that morph from tasting lounge to late-night salon.

The name itself plays on City Pop, the sleek, optimistic soundtrack of 1980s Japan. Pop City flips that nostalgia into the now; a space for craft, culture and connection, anchored, as always, by Jigger & Pony’s warm sense of hospitality.
The cocktails are as much about play as precision, riffing on Japanese artistry with flavour combinations that evolve sip by sip. It’s the kind of place that invites you to linger, talk and lose track of time.
Pop City x Pony opens soon, and if the group’s track record is anything to go by, you’ll want to get in line early.
Pop City x Pony is the first of two new concepts that Jigger & Pony Group will unveil this year. Bookings open two weeks ahead of its grand debut on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Reserve your spot at popcityxpony.com.
