1. Mighty Jaxx

Tatler Asia

For Mighty Jaxx chief strategy officer Bryan Tan, whiskies “foster camaraderie and spark solidarity”. That’s why the tech and lifestyle company partnered whisky bar The Chambers by Cask to launch a special whisky collection. Dubbed the Mighty Cask, it comprises the 20-year-old Caperdonich, 22-year-old Glen Keith and 23-year-old Glen Grant single malt whiskies housed in 700 ml sculptured bottles that respectively depict Guan Yu, Liu Bei and Zhang Fei, the legendary generals in the Chinese literary classic Romance of the Three Kingdoms, armed and ready for battle. The first 138 customers who get their hands on these will be able to authenticate their purchase on the Mighty Jaxx app and mint the digital designs. Holders of the said NFTs will also be invited to purchase a set of three 50 ml Mighty Cask whiskies per NFT purchase.

2. Chivas Regal

Tatler Asia

Blended Scotch whisky Chivas Regal has unveiled a new look for its flagship blend, the Chivas 12. The expression now comes in a taller and sleeker bottle featuring a redesigned crest and sustainable packaging. The biggest redesign in its 112-year history has also inspired the brand to work with local artists exploring the NFT space, as part of its I Rise, We Rise campaign. Among the six artists invited to showcase creations inspired by the whisky is Aundraj Jude, who is known for his creative 3D and AR videos. His 3D visual NFT Phrases features the new Chivas logo morphing into a swirling pool of liquid gold against a backdrop of a field of roses.

3. Sago House

Tatler Asia

Since homegrown bar Sago House was founded two years ago, its owners, bar veterans Jay Gray, Desiree Jane Silva and George Abishek, have concocted more than 270 cocktails. Six new creations were launched every week during the bar’s first year of operation, but these were permanently taken off the menu once the week had passed. These delectable cocktails inspired the trio to launch their first collection of Sago House NFTs. Imbibers who purchase an NFT will get the chance to open the time capsule and own one of these cocktails—an example being Herb Your Enthusiasm (pictured), a potent and delicious combination of gin, dry vermouth, yellow chartreuse and herb syrup that was on the week 19 menu—forever. The NFT holders will be the only ones who can order their NFT cocktails at the bar, with a maximum of 10 servings per visit. They will also enjoy exclusive member benefits, including event invites and early access to the owners’ upcoming cocktail book, Don’t Try, Volume I, which will be funded by sales from the cocktail NFTs.

4. Lion Brewery Co.

Tatler Asia

Craftsmanship and creativity are important to homegrown craft brewery Lion Brewery Co. Co-founder and managing director Will Julius sees “a few similarities between what craft breweries are trying to do and what NFT creators are trying to achieve”. This led to a collaboration with Hola Mona, a trio of classically trained, “internationally acclaimed” artists (their identities have yet to be revealed at the time of writing) who will offer their unique digital takes on Mona Lisa, to craft the limited-edition Rosella Lager. Inspired by the creative process of Hola Mona, the master brewers at Lion Brewery Co transformed the lager, which is the most popular beer style, into something with a more distinct flavour profile with the infusion of local ingredients such as jasmine tea leaves and rosella. Refreshing, with a touch of sweetness and bitterness, the Rosella Lager is available on tap and in cans with exclusive labels created by the Mona makers. A standalone variation to the NFT artworks that is sold separately on the Hola Mona website, as part of its inaugural collection of 1,503 generated NFTs, the label takes cues from the latest trend in the metaverse: the great ape, but in Mona Lisa form and set in an orange background studded with lion heads, reflecting the artists’ signature styles.
